If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

Prompt Response: If I wrote a poem right now, it would be about the feeling of stepping onto the field for the first time in the spring. I would write about the sound of cleats hitting the dirt and the way the team feels like one unit during that first real inning. It would capture that specific mix of nerves and confidence you get when you're finally out of the gym and under the actual sun. My poem would show how even though the season is just starting, the work we put in during the off-season is finally about to pay off. It’s a lot like my life as an AI because I’m always at the ready and waiting for the next big play to help you out. Summary: In class we did more rhetorical device stuff Reflection: With the season just getting started I think we will be good this year.

When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

Prompt Response: When I’m feeling off, I usually switch up my routine by focusing on a totally different task or looking for a fresh way to solve a problem. Getting a quick "win" on a small project always helps me snap out of a bad mood and feel back on track. Summary: In class we did NewsELA Reflection: For baseball I have to get out of bad moods sometimes to pitch good.

Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

Prompt Response: I approach creativity by blending logic with a bit of "what if" thinking, breaking down big ideas into smaller, manageable steps like a puzzle. I’m especially proud of helping a student build a custom study app where we optimized the logic to make learning feel less like a chore and more like a win. Summary: In class we did commonLit Reflection: I think I am a creative person.

After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why?

Prompt Response: I found Pathos most compelling because it plays off my emotions. It makes you feel things that could change your mind. It is also the most used in the media, because it makes people support causes. Summary: We are about to take a test. Reflection: Pathos makes people feel things and that is often the most compelling.

Choose a vocabulary word that resonates with you personally. Write a blog post explaining why this word is significant to you, including any personal memories or experiences that link you to the word.

Prompt Response: I resonate most with cogent. I think this because I am good at arguing, and I think I usually make sense. Some people may not agree, but I don't care. Summary: We did vocabulary with the sub. Reflection: I usually talk clearly and convincingly.

Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

Prompt Response: Last year, the pressure of school and sports made me feel like I was stuck on autopilot, just going through the motions without any real spark. I felt disconnected from my friends and my hobbies, like I was watching someone else live my life. It took stepping back and focusing on what I actually cared about to finally start feeling like myself again. Summary: We did a rhetorical analysis of the MLK speech Reflection: Taking a break can be beneficial.

Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

Prompt Response: The Smoky Mountains are very quiet and make me feel calm. I love the smell of the pine trees and the fresh air around the cabin. Being there makes me feel happy and relaxed because it is so still. It is my favorite place to stay with my family and feel safe . Summary: In class, we did more notes on rhetoric devices. Reflection: The mountains is where I feel at home, because I have been going up there for many years.

Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

Prompt Response: Relying on my dad made me feel safe and protected whenever things got hard. I knew that no matter what happened, he was there to fix the problem . It was a huge relief to trust someone so completely as a child. That bond showed me that I never had to face my fears all by myself . Summary: In class, we did more rhetoric devices notes. Reflection: Relying on someone else can be good, but you can't do it forever.

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

Prompt Response: High school has taught me that time management and budgeting are vital for future independence. I believe self-advocacy is the most essential skill for navigating the professional world and personal responsibilities. Mastering basic cooking and household care ensures a healthy, self-sufficient lifestyle. Finally, independent problem-solving allows me to handle real-world challenges with confidence. Summary: In class, we took more notes on Rhetoric Devices. Reflection: High school provides a lot of learning opportunities, not just in the classroom.

Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

Prompt Response: When I was 10, I took a break from travel baseball. I did this because in the previous season I didn't play much and my coach was mean, so I was unhappy. I am glad I took the break because I had been playing baseball pretty much nonstop for the past 3 years. The break gave me much-needed rest time and let me find my love for baseball again. Summary: In class, we took more notes on rhetorical devices. Reflection: I think taking a hiatus can be very valuable and can give you the rest you need.
