What challenges did your group face while selecting and analyzing sources, and how did you overcome them? Be specific about how your group communicated and worked through disagreements.

Prompt Response: We had to decide who's source to use if we both had good ones. It was challenging but we overcame it by being objective. We held a vote over which one to pick. Summary: In class we picked what sources we want to use for the group. Reflection: I think we made the right choices.

Reflect on your research topic and identify the most compelling issue connected to it. Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

Prompt Response: My topic is the effects and implications of personal technology. This means how technology affects people in their lives and how the world changes. The most compelling issue is how AI is taking over jobs and making people unemployed. One of my sources talks about how data is not being properly protected with how advanced technology is becoming. Summary: In class we chose sources for our essay. Reflection: I look forward to technology but I am also scared of the bad things that could come from it.

How has completing the annotated bibliography changed or clarified your understanding of your research topic? Discuss how your sources connect to one another and how they are shaping your argument moving forward.

Prompt Response: It made me see the whole picture for technology and not just focus on one part. My sources connect because they all talk about how technology affects people, good or bad. This made me more moderate about technology. Summary: I wasn't in class because we had playoffs for Baseball Reflection: I don't think it did much but it was very long

As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

Prompt Response: Some of my sources were in favor of integrating technology into daily life, but others were opposed due to possible bad things. Some were written by younger people who embrace technology, and some were older people who do not fully understand it. Summary: In class we found more sources. Reflection: I am in favor of integrating technology.

Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.

Prompt Response: The most challenging part was actually writing out the bibliography. It was a lot of words because it was 7-10 sentences per source, over 10 sources. I think it helped me become more patient and have more writing stamina. Summary: In class we worked on our bibliography Reflection: I was not a fan of this assignment.

Think about your experience using GALILEO to find sources. How was this different from how you have searched for information in the past? Explain how using specific search strategies and evaluating sources impacted the quality of what you found.

Prompt Response: This is different from how I used to search for information because it only has true and quality sources. I used to use Google and that would give you anything and it wouldn't always be right. Using specific search strategies helps get the best quality papers. Summary: In class we found sources Reflection: I like using Google because its convenient but Galileo is better for research.

Political cartoons often use exaggeration and symbolism to make a point, and they can also serve as important visual sources for analysis. What is being criticized in this image? What does this source suggest about the issue, and what does the cartoonist want the audience to question or reconsider?

Prompt Response: In the picture, Trump is being criticized for using the war on Iran to distract us from the bad things going on here. The artist wants us to reconsider what we believe and who we support. Summary: In class we worked in our groups Reflection: I agree with the image, I think the war in Iran is being used to distract the citizens of the issues at home.

Think about how you have searched for information in the past compared to what you practiced today. How is creating specific search phrases different from just “Googling” a topic? Explain how this strategy will improve the quality of your research.

Prompt Response: Using a database with specific words is better than just Googling because it looks through a small group of trusted, expert articles. Google often shows ads or popular blogs, but a database only gives you high-quality facts from writers who know their stuff. This helps you find better proof for your work and keeps you from getting distracted by wrong information. Summary: In class we worked in our groups Reflection: Using specific phrases helps to focus on the topic we want.

Your research question is designed to explore a complex issue. What makes this topic difficult to answer or solve? Identify at least two different perspectives or factors related to your topic and explain why understanding multiple viewpoints is important.

Prompt Response: I have the prompt on technology impacting youth, and it can be difficult to answer because people have different views on technology and technology affects different people in different ways. Summary: In class we read sources and evaluated them Reflection: I like technology but some people don't feel the same way.

Reflect on your past experiences with research in school. What challenges have you faced when working independently or in a group, and how did you handle them? Explain how those experiences will influence the way you approach this current research project.

Prompt Response: In the past, my biggest challenge with group research was uneven workloads, which I handled by taking on extra tasks to ensure the quality stayed high. When working solo, I struggled with over-complicating my focus, but I learned to manage this by setting strict daily word counts. These experiences will lead me to create a very clear project timeline and a narrow research question to keep this current assignment manageable and organized. Summary: In class we did a Kahoot and got into groups Reflection: I like working in groups as long as I don't do all the work

If you could plan the perfect spring break with no limitation, money, time, or responsibilities—what would it look like? Where would you go, who would you bring, and what would you do?

Prompt Response: My perfect spring break would be a month at a secluded beach in the Philippines with my closest friends. We would spend every day surfing, eating fresh fruit, and relaxing by the water without any schedules or stress. It would be a total escape centered on sun, sand, and complete freedom from the real world. Summary: We have a common lit to do in class Friday. Reflection: My dream vacation would be relaxing on a nice beach with full table service.

McCandless set out to live independently in the wilderness, but his death reveals the harsh reality of nature and survival. In your blog post, analyze how his desire for independence contributed to his death. Then, connect this idea to your own life by explaining a time when you wanted complete independence or control over a situation. Did things go as planned, or did you face unexpected challenges?

Prompt Response: McCandless died because his refusal of maps and advice left him helpless against the Alaskan wilderness. I learned a similar lesson when a camping trip I went on failed because I ignored expert advice and underestimated the gear needed. Both cases show that total independence without preparation can lead to disaster. Summary: In class we finished the book and movie. Reflection: Listing is very important if you do something your not familiar with.
