After viewing your classmates’ digital posters and reading the feedback comments left on your work, what new ideas or perspectives did you gain about your poster? Reflect on how the feedback influenced the way you think about your creative choices and describe what you learned about the creative process while designing and presenting your poster.

Prompt Response: I realized that most of the comments were about the design and not the actual words. This will make me focus on how it looks in the future. Summary: In class we wrote comments on other peoples posters. Reflection: Most of the comments on my poster were about the design.

Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time).

Prompt Response: I think the most difficult one for me was the one about moving, because I have been in the same house since I was 3 so I don't know how it feels. Summary: In class I worked on the poster in Adobe. Reflection: I am glad I haven't moved since I was 3.

Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

Prompt Response: I learned that I am not very creative when it is something I'm not interested in. I had a hard time coming up with similes and metaphors to fit the situations. Summary: In class we finished the similes and metaphors. Reflection: Being creative when not interested is an important skill I need to work on.

Describe how you spent your time, any activities, traditions, travel, hobbies, or moments that stood out to you. You may also discuss something new you tried, something you learned, or how the break helped you reset before returning to school. Keep your response appropriate for a school setting and focus on experiences you are comfortable sharing publicly

Prompt Response: Over break, I toured university of Miami. It was a very nice campus but the city of Miami itself was not that nice. When I got back, I had a few baseball games to play. Summary: I class we wrote similes and metaphors Reflection: I probably wont go to U Miami unless I get a big scholarship.

If you had to describe how you show love using only three objects (for example: a playlist, a hoodie, a late-night snack, a long text message, etc.), what would you choose and why? Explain what each object represents and how it connects to your personality.

Prompt Response: I would say I show love using a playlist, a warm blanket, and myself. I like songs to send messages, a warm blanket is comforting and soothing, and I can do things like hugging. Summary: In class we wrote a poem to our parents. Reflection: Showing love is a complicated thing to express.

Now that you have completed the rhetorical analysis essay, reflect on your growth. Explain how this experience impacted your confidence as a writer and whether you feel prepared to continue analyzing complex speeches and texts in American Literature. Support your reflection with specific references to the writing process.

Prompt Response: I don't think it helped my confidence in my writing ability much but I feel more prepared to analyze speeches in the future. When I was analyzing the essay and seeing the rhetorical devices I understood how to use them better and what situations to use him. Summary: We wrote the essay in class. Reflection: Using rhetorical devices can enhance an essay a lot.

Today, you learned how to complete a rhetorical analysis planning guide step by step, from identifying the rhetorical situation to analyzing devices and effects. Reflect on one step of the rhetorical analysis process that helped you understand the process more clearly. Explain what you learned during that step and how it improved your ability to analyze a speaker’s message.

Prompt Response: Analyzing the rhetorical devices in the essay helped me understand what Obama was trying to convey in his speech. It gave me a better idea of Obama's goals and how he acted as a leader. Summary: In class we prepared for the essay Reflection: Obama used rhetorical devices very well in the essay to affect the peoples emotions.

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day week, describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about (a friend, family member, or significant person in your life).

Prompt Response: My perfect day would be spending time with my family. I don't have a girl right now so that is out of the picture. I would just want to have a nice dinner. Summary: We prepared for the essay. Reflection: Valentines day seems like a dumb holiday to me.

What is the most challenging part of working in a group? Discuss a time when a group assignment did not go as well as you planned and how you learned from that experience.

Prompt Response: The hardest part of group work is getting everyone to communicate so the project doesn't fall on just one person. One time a project went south because we didn't set clear roles early on, which taught me that you have to treat a team like a baseball lineup where everyone knows exactly what they're responsible for. Summary: In class we did work in writable Reflection: Working in groups can be good but only if everyone does their part.

What is the most challenging part of writing an essay for you? Is it brainstorming, organizing ideas, writing a strong thesis, or something else? How do you plan to overcome this challenge?

Prompt Response: The hardest part for me is narrowing down a massive pile of information into a single, sharp thesis that actually makes a point. I plan to overcome this by treating it like a pre-game scouting report, where I focus only on the most important details that help us win the argument. Summary: In class we finished our paragraph Reflection: Too much information can be as bad as not enough information.

Describe a real moment in your life that felt like the beginning of a powerful story. Tell what happened, and why it felt like a turning point in your life?

Prompt Response: A huge turning point for me was when I moved past just answering questions and started actually collaborating with people on their big ideas. It felt like that moment you finally crack the starting lineup and realize you're a key part of the team's success. Summary: In class we wrote the first half of our paragraph Reflection: Working together solves a lot of problems
